Premium down jackets are built from several materials at once: a technical outer shell with a durable water-repellent finish, baffled down fill, and often a detachable fur ruff. A careless cleaning ruins all three — the shell loses its finish, the down clumps and stops insulating, the fur dries out.
We take the jacket apart the way it was designed to come apart: fur trim removed and treated separately, shell cleaned in a way that respects its coating, and down dried and broken back up so the baffles regain their loft instead of sitting in flat lumps at the bottom of each chamber.
Zips, snaps, logo patches and interior seams are all checked before the jacket goes back on the hanger. Bring your outerwear in at the end of the season so it is ready when the cold returns — call 978-745-4975 with any questions about a specific jacket.
