Where is Jay's Cleaners located?
Jay's Cleaners is at 600 Loring Ave, Swampscott, MA 01907. We serve Swampscott, Marblehead, Salem and the surrounding North Shore, including Lynn, Beverly and Peabody.
What are your hours?
Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and closed on Sunday.
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk-ins and drop-offs are always welcome during business hours. Just bring your garments to the counter.
How long does dry cleaning take?
It depends on the item. Everyday dry cleaning and shirts are quick; leather, suede, UGG boots, wedding gowns and designer outerwear take longer because they are treated by hand. Call us at 978-745-4975 and we will give you a timeframe for your specific items.
Do you clean leather, suede and UGG boots?
Yes. Leather, suede, shearling, fur trim and sheepskin boots are all handled with methods made for skins and wool rather than ordinary dry cleaning. We will assess the piece with you at drop-off and tell you honestly what can be improved.
Can you clean Canada Goose, Moncler and Burberry jackets?
Yes. Premium down and technical outerwear is cleaned so the shell finish is respected, the down is re-lofted rather than left clumped, and any fur trim is removed and treated separately.
Can you get this stain out?
Often, yes — but the honest answer depends on what caused it, how long it has been there, and the fabric. Point it out at drop-off and tell us what it is; that information genuinely changes how we treat it. We will tell you before cleaning if we do not expect it to come out fully.
Should something be dry cleaned or washed?
Wool, silk, rayon, tailored and lined garments should be dry cleaned. Cotton everyday clothing, towels and sheets are better laundered. If you are unsure, bring the item in and we will read the care label and the fabric with you.
Do you offer pickup and delivery?
Jay's Cleaners is a drop-off location — bring your garments to 600 Loring Ave during business hours. Walk-ins are always welcome.
Do you handle business and uniform accounts?
Yes. Restaurants, salons, medical and dental offices, hotels and professional offices can set up a standing weekly schedule. Call 978-745-4975 to arrange it.
